Christmas Stress Busting Tips

Christmas Stress Busting Tips

Here are some tips to avoid stress during the Christmas days...

Do as much in advance as possible

Make lists of everything you need to do such as:

  • what needs buying from each shop
  • what needs making
  • what needs freezing and then unfreezing
  • what oven space/fridge space is needed
  • what alcoholic drinks to get (buy in soft drinks like cranberry juice, pomegranate juice & fizzy water to dilute the booze.
  • Make as much as possible before hand & freeze
  • Make more than enough so there are lots of left overs (no cooking for a few days!) & plenty for impromptu guests.
  • Don't be too ambitious, it's too stressful a day as it is.
  • Have a fall back if something doesn't work.
  • Use the microwave if you have one for re-heating on Christmas day.
  • Eat in the afternoon when the light begins to fade, so you don't have to get up too early & you don't waste the daylight inside.
  • Delegate the washing up and put your feet up!
