Make the best out of life - Living Foods

Here's part two of our new lifestyle and eating plan. We've dealt with the smoothies and juices in part one, and promised we would give you some more information of the so called "superfoods" that could be added to your vitamin drink, as an extra boost. Full of minerals and many other essential nutrients, to make you feel a new person.

We are great fans of Gillian McKeith's, the famous nutritionist; she mentions these superfoods in her books. The superfoods should be available at nature / health shops, and some are available on her website.

The superfoods we mean here, are so-called "living foods" and consist of seeds, super grains like quinoa or millet, essential fatty acids, all of which we have mentioned elsewhere on this site. Also other living plants and herbs can be a source of power, as well as algae, especially wild blue-green algae. Living foods regulate our weight, increase our vitality, support and strengthen the immune system and, last but not least, they are said to slow down the ageing process! They are full of minerals and vitamins, contain sufficient protein and are low in fat.

Here are the most essential superfoods, and we highly recommend you to pick one to use daily. Don't use more at the same time, just follow the instructions for use, and when the bottle or jar or packet is empty, go for a different one. See what you - and your body! - like best. Most Living Energy Foods come in powders, pills, capsules or liquid form. Because living foods usually have a high content of fluid, they are ideal for detoxifying of our system. Moreover, they contain a lot of slow-releasing carbohydrates which give us an energy boost. Furthermore, they are a good source of fibre. (Soluable fibres lower the blood fat levels and remove heavy metal from the body, such as cadmium and lead. And on top of that, they are a source of enzymes, especially the raw living foods. Enzymes are the operational catalyst managers of all chemical reactions in our body. They have a leading role in the wellbeing of our metabolism. For instance: our digestion, immune system, detoxification, and digestion. Some in tablets, others in powder, granules or liquid version. If applicable, look for powder or liquid, since this is easier for the body to absorb. Besides, it usually takes quite a lot of tablets if you want to equal the quantity of powder per intake.
