Super Foods: The grains and rice category

Today, the sixth series of in total 30 super foods. When eating them regularly and including them in your diet, you will soon feel "brandnew"!

Brown rice

Unrefined, which means a source of slow-release energy. Contains good carbohydrates, fibre, B vitamins, vitamin E, calcium, selenium, potassium, copper, iron, zinc, and magnesium. Unrefined grains, when frequently included in your diet, will help regulate blood sugar levels and lower cholesterol.

Quinoa

This product is available as flakes and grain.
The flakes are easy and quick, but the grains should be cooked for 7-10 minutes and should be allowed to stand for 15 minutes before serving. It has the same positive effects as brown rice; see above.
